Hello and welcome to another The Digital Quill Press: Life and Travel piece! It has taken far longer than we wanted to, but late is better than never, or so they say! Today we may prove that statement a bit. Did you ever get those Highlight Magazines? Well, today feels sort of like those Highlights Magazines we used to get. See the picture below. Keep reading to read some highlights of The People of Earth, and why we are doing this!
Humans of New York:
If you’ve been around a while, there is a solid chance you’ve heard me reference this account. When I was but a pup (in high school), I found this page during the budding of my photography fixation and career choosing. In short, this is a photographer (or multiple, I have zero clue) who goes around New York capturing the stories of other people. Through story and image. Two things I have been aspiring to do with my talents and skills, and wants and whims.
Humans of New York started my “Humans of the World” tag. It likely existed before me. There are very few, if any, original ideas anymore. But it feels personal. Through language and image, we can document stories faster than ever before. Once upon a time, we had to sit for numerous hours just to get a single photo. Now we can get numerous photos in one single second.
When starting the first newsletter, I wanted to pay homage to this page, I wanted to do the thing a smaller version of me wanted to do. Through my new podcast, my musician “profiles” on The Digital Quill: Entertainment, and now (hopefully) this post, I’m weaving the very fabric that will help me do the thing! I am doing “the thing”. Everything thus far is almost working according to the plans I’ve had for at least five years. Let us rise together, it takes a village.
Keep reading for the real reason behind today’s post.
Highlights of Humans:
This would be better as a podcast episode, I think, and nothing is stopping it from being a podcast episode, and maybe it will be. Maybe I’ll reference this in a future episode, like when this gets pay-walled after 52, 74, or something weeks. Today I’d like to talk about some special humans. There is no way this is all of them. This is a “highlight” for a reason. Here will be some links to their socials or their stores, even their projects. I hope you’ll find someone to raise a little today.
It takes a village. None of us ever did anything entirely alone.
(If I accidentally misspell your name, company, project, whatever, please correct me.)

A beautiful human, with a creative store for her patterns and designs. I think this is knit-work or crochet. From hats to pants, blankets, and more, she uploads as often as she can. If you like crocheting, give her a follow and support her!

Tiffani – The Abstract Mommy:

RohZDesigns
I did not ask permission to drop the name they go by, so their Etsy store name is it! If you love handmade jewelry, like earrings, RohZ makes so many amazing creations. If you know someone who enjoys cutesy earrings and handmade projects, shop at their shop below! I follow this wonderful human on Facebook. Their energy is bright and kind, I hope they continue creating forever more!
The Quad:
Over at The Digital Quill Entertainment, we’ve spoken at length about a handful of these people. I call them my “quad”. The following are four people with one thing in common. Music. I’d speak about them individually, but I have, and I am going to again. It is the same with the humans (or creatures) mentioned above, I will speak about them too. However, the following belong over in Entertainment, not really here. Give these musicians a follow. Yanni Rakko, The Storyteller, Second Chance Charade, and btw ily!

The Storyteller: All links
Second Chance Charade: Website
BTW ILY: All links
These four are my “quad” because in the middle of some of my worst self-doubts, I deep-dived into their music, their story, their “purpose”, and they became one of the many inspirations in my life for me to keep going and keep creating. I hope all of us here today can serve as a reminder to keep going, humans of Earth! Thank you for reading today’s Highlights, thank you for being a human (or creature) of Earth! Thank you for you.
Let me give you my T.I.M.E., teach, inspire, motivate, or at the very least (and hopefully) entertain you! Listen to the fourth podcast episode that should be out now if you need some stupid amusement, and please bookmark, share, and support the humans mentioned above anyway you can!
